Program Overview

This four-year apprenticeship program is designed to provide students with both hands-on experience and classroom instruction.

Apprentices will complete on-the-job training with an approved electrical contractor participating in the program.

Two complementary tracks combine to create a complete electrical professional.

On-the-Job Training

Apprentices work directly under licensed journeyman electricians, gaining real-world experience across a broad range of project types:

  • New residential and commercial construction
  • Remodeling and renovation work
  • Electrical repairs and troubleshooting
  • Motor control and industrial applications
  • Preventive maintenance programs

Classroom Instruction

Structured coursework prepares you for a complete career in the electrical trade. Topics include:

  • Understanding electrical theory
  • Residential electrical wiring
  • Commercial electrical wiring

  • Basic motors and controls
  • National Electrical Code study & understanding
  • Design & manage residential projects
  • Design & manage commercial projects
